Buhari and wife Aisha release fresh pictures to prove president is alive

President Muhammadu Buhari has again dispelled rumours of his alleged death with photos of him and his wife Aisha Buhari in the UK in latest proof of life.

The pictures acquired by NAIJ.com showed the smiling and healthy-looking Buhari in different poses with his the First Lady.

The pictures are the third in the series of picture evidences released to quell rumours of the president’s alleged death.

Recall that the first evidence was a picture of the president released while watching a Channels television eight days ago on Sunday, January 22.

The second evidence were series of pictures of the President meeting with some government officials which was released some days back.

The All Progressive Congress (APC's) UK Twitter handle has tweeted the photos, somewhat confirming the authenticity of the pictures.

Meanwhile, the date of President Muhammadu Buhari's return has been made known by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina.

Adeshina made the revelation on Friday, January 27 during a chat with Television Continental (TVC).

Aisha Buhari Opens Up On Her Husband's Health Status

The health status of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, has been generating a lot of controversies in recent times.

For the first time since the controversy started, his wife, Aisha Buhari has opened up about her husband’s health status.

Aisha, who spoke to The Guardian at the Westminster Plaza Hotel, London on Saturday night, after APC team’s interactive reception with Nigerians in the diaspora, said her husband was hale and hearty.

She debunked reports making round that her husband is ill and was in London for health reasons.

When asked if her husband was being hospitalized, she replied: “He’s home, well and sound.

“No, he’s just come here to rest. He’s just here to have a rest, at least few days rest, before he goes back to the business.”

Following Buhari's visit to London, rumours started spreading that he was sick and had travelled for health reasons.

Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has insisted that Buhari is sick, calling on him to swear by the Holy Quran that he didn’t visit the United Kingdom for medical treatment.

The APC presidential candidate had denied the reports about him visiting a London hospital to address his health problems saying they were false.

9 new universities established by Jonathan face probe

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday ordered a tour of the 9 federal universities established by the past administration to probe the execution of projects by the respective universities. In his speech at the maiden convocation of federal university, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, FUNAI, Ebonyi state, Buhari noted that his administration will not condone corruption in the federal universities. Represented by the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, NUC, Professor Rasheed Adamu Abaubakar, he remarked that universities must be example in good governance and financial management. “No room for corruption in the academic sector. very soon, we will take tour of all projects executed by our new federal universities to ensure that funds allocated to them are judiciously utilized. “Our Universities must be example in good governance and financial management. So, no room for corruption in the academic sector”. In his address, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba. Charged the graduand to be good ambassadors of the institution adding that with the level of trainings they had acquired from the institution, nothing can stop them from achieving their goals in life.
